Being Somebody's Tia is one of my biggest joy in life. I made this piece so that anyone can wear it proudly. We chose a soft and light garment so that it can keep you cozy as you do your Tia activities.

My siblings were not fortunate enough to grow up knowing our grandparents, our aunts, and uncles. I grew up hearing stories and seeing my parents silently mourn as their siblings passed away across borders they were not able to cross.

As my immediate family began to expand we all felt this overwhelming need to make sure we were all active in each other’s journeys.

We want to honor our parents sacrifice and not take what we have for granted. Part of that is us being available aunt and uncle figures so that the little ones know what it is like to be a part of a multigenerational family and experience that love.

Being able to be somebody’s Tia is an honor and something I will not take for granted.
